Lemons and Peg

Fruit is hung from the gallows and riders use swords to slice the fruit with the sword at the forehand, then the back hand and then take a peg from the ground.

Depending on the season oranges and apples are also used.

Some riders wear glasses to prevent the juice from splashing in their eyes as the fruit is sliced at speed. We usually have to wipe the juice off our horses' ears at the end of the run too!
