The Constitution

 

The British Tentpegging Association is the Governing Body for Mounted Skill At Arms in Great Britain and is an affiliated member of the International Tent Pegging Federation. The Association is committed to the promotion of Great Britain in international competition.

 

Aim

 

The Aim of the British Tentpegging Association is as the sport’s National Governing Body to oversee the conduct, development and promotion of the sport within Great Britain.

Objectives

 

The British Tentpegging Association will:

 

  • Maintain professional standards of competence and rules for training, competition and judging at competition;

  • Organise training, displays and competitions for the propagation of Mounted Skill at Arms;

  • Select individuals and teams to represent Great Britain at international competitions and events;

  • Provide the focal route through which all people interested in military mounted skill at arms can fulfil their objectives within a stable structure. Act as the link between the Army, who have a tradition of Tentpegging, and civilian riders who have learnt this traditional military mounted sport.
